iDon’t Stop
iDon’t Stop is an iPhone application that virtually emulates the physical installation piece, don’t, stop, making interactive and participatory artwork widely available to people who may never step into an art gallery.
By limiting variables and promoting random interactions with strangers, the work highlights the creative value of chance occurrences encouraging non-artists to participate by removing the creative complexities often associated with digital art making.
iDon’t Stop builds in a networked experience where, in addition to recording and mixing loops, the user/participant can upload and share their loops with others who have the app installed. They can also add sounds to their mix by randomly downloading new loops that have been uploaded by others.
